Mercedes-Benz is a german garbage.You need to take out the engine out, to replace a timing chain and tensioners.Same problems as on Bmw n47 engines.They just didn't learn any lesson from Bmw issues.I think i will stay with Japanese cars!

Driving V40 T4 1.6T (2014 Automatic) I get around 10l/100kms city driving 6.6l/100kms on open roads (between 80-95kms/hour) 7.5l/100kms on motorway 120kms/hour constant I really drive like a granny in town with very light foot Never overfill the tank to reduce extra weight, no carriage on top and no garbage in car to have any additional weight Not sure what is wrong with the car. Can you suggest? I am considering changing it

At 70mph on a hilly a road I get around 45 mpg with a bit of stop start ot traffic lights etc.. On a motorway at 70 mph with a fair few hills around 100 miles I easily get 50mpg..since I serviced the auto box it had improved slightly.. I don't feather the throttle on acceleration either.. The engine runs a lot quieter with miller's additive in the fuel.. 25ml to 23 litres.. This is uk mpg by the way

I owned before 10 years same a8 3tdi mine was same 252 km in speedo with stock 17" tires in gps it was huge difference 237 km gps 252 speedo lol. So basicly 237km is top speed a8 3.0tdi
